The Doors 1968 Tour

Jan 19, 1968 — Nov 10, 1968
The Doors Headliner

The Doors' most prolific touring year in support of Strange Days and Waiting for the Sun. Highlights included the legendary Hollywood Bowl concert on July 5 — later released as a live album — and the band's first European tour in September 1968. The European dates took them to London's Roundhouse (with Jefferson Airplane), Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and Stockholm. Morrison's behavior grew increasingly unpredictable, including a drug binge in Amsterdam that hospitalized him briefly.
