The Doors 1967 Tour

Jun 03, 1967 — Dec 31, 1967
The Doors Headliner

The Doors' breakout year touring behind their debut album and the #1 hit 'Light My Fire.' The tour included the infamous Ed Sullivan Show appearance on September 17 where Morrison sang 'higher' despite being asked to change the lyric, getting the band banned from the show. The tour ended dramatically on December 9 at the New Haven Arena when Morrison was arrested on stage — the first time a rock musician was arrested during a performance. The band also recorded and released their second album Strange Days during this period.
