R.E.M.'s world tour in support of their thirteenth album Around the Sun. The North American leg began October 13, 2004 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and featured a mix of theaters and arenas. The tour continued through early 2005 with European dates in the U.K. and Ireland, followed by shows in South Africa, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand, before returning to Europe for a summer festival and stadium run. The band was supported on various legs by Joseph Arthur, The Zutons, and Editors.
