The supporting concert tour for Bruce Springsteen's Born in the U.S.A. album, his longest and most successful tour to date with 156 shows. The tour began June 29, 1984 at the St. Paul Civic Center, where the iconic 'Dancing in the Dark' music video (featuring a young Courteney Cox) was filmed. Beginning June 29, 1984, the Boss and the E Street Band played 94 indoor shows through January 27, 1985. In March 1985 the tour went to Australia, Japan and Europe. The summer 1985 U.S. stadium leg marked Springsteen's first time playing professional football stadiums, including six shows at Giants Stadium and four at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The tour grossed between $80 and $90 million.
