The tour ran from September 1987 to July 1989, covering approximately 197 shows across five continents. It grossed around US$135 million, making it the highest-grossing tour of the 1980s. Highlights included three nights at Madison Square Garden, two sold-out shows at Wembley Stadium, and a historic concert at the Palace of Versailles.
