Jamaican ska band from Kingston, formed in 1964. Tommy McCook (sax), Roland Alphonso (sax), Don Drummond (trombone, d. 1969), Jackie Mittoo (keys), Lloyd Brevett (bass), Lloyd Knibb (drums). The session band that INVENTED ska — played on virtually every early ska recording. Foundational to all Jamaican music.
