American power pop band from Cleveland, Ohio, formed 1970. Eric Carmen (vocals/guitar, d. 2024). 'Go All the Way' (1972), 'I Wanna Be with You,' 'Overnight Sensation.' Beatles-meets-Who power pop that defined the genre alongside Big Star. Carmen went on to solo career ('All by Myself'). Rock Hall 2015.
