The Hives

Swedish garage rock band formed in Fagersta in 1993 by brothers Pelle and Niklas Almqvist along with school friends. Known for explosive live performances, matching black-and-white outfits, and infectious punk-tinged garage rock. Achieved international success in the early 2000s as part of the garage rock revival, with 'Hate to Say I Told You So' becoming their signature song. All songs are credited to the mysterious songwriter 'Randy Fitzsimmons,' long rumored to be a pseudonym for one or more band members. After an 11-year gap between albums, they returned in 2023 with The Death of Randy Fitzsimmons and followed up in 2025 with The Hives Forever Forever The Hives.
