American bluegrass band led by Del McCoury, born 1939 in York County, Pennsylvania. High on a Mountain (1973), Del and the Boys (2001, Grammy winner). McCoury played banjo with Bill Monroe in 1963. Pure traditional bluegrass with perfect vocal harmonics. Sons Ronnie and Rob carry the tradition. Living bluegrass royalty.
