American electronic rock duo from New York City, formed in 1967. Simeon Coxe (oscillators, d. 2020) and Danny Taylor (drums, d. 2005). Silver Apples (1968), Contact (1969). Used homemade oscillators with rock drumming — proto-electronic, proto-krautrock. Among the first electronic rock bands.
