English blues-rock guitarist from Catford, London, born 1945. Ex-Procol Harum. Bridge of Sighs (1974), For Earth Below (1975). Hendrix-influenced but with his own foggy, reverb-drenched tone. 'Bridge of Sighs,' 'Day of the Eagle,' 'Too Rolling Stoned.' One of rock's great underrated guitarists. Still recording and touring.
