American punk rock band from Chicago, Illinois, formed in 1999. Tim McIlrath (vocals/guitar), Zach Blair (guitar), Joe Principe (bass), Brandon Barnes (drums). Known for melodic hardcore with activist lyrics. Albums include Siren Song of the Counter Culture, The Sufferer & the Witness, Appeal to Reason, and Nowhere Generation.
