Zambian musician from Kitwe, born 1948. 'The Father of Zamrock.' Zambia (1975), Dark Sunrise (1976). Founded Musi-O-Tunya (named after Victoria Falls). Electric sitar, fuzz guitar, African rhythms. Zamrock's intellectual — politically conscious, musically adventurous. The genre's founding figure alongside WITCH.
