English shoegaze/Britpop band from London, formed in 1987. Miki Berenyi (vocals/guitar) and Emma Anderson (guitar/vocals). Gala, Spooky, Split. Blended ethereal shoegaze with pop hooks. Reunited 2015–2016 before drummer Chris Acland's tragic death. Influential in 4AD's golden era.
