German electronic band from Düsseldorf, formed in 1970. Ralf Hütter (vocals/keys) with rotating members. Invented electronic pop music and influenced virtually everything that came after — synth-pop, techno, house, hip-hop. Albums include Autobahn, Trans-Europe Express, The Man-Machine, and Computer World.
