English post-punk band from London, formed 1978. Jaz Coleman (vocals), Geordie Walker (guitar, d. 2023). Killing Joke (1980), What's THIS For...! (1981), Night Time (1985). Heavy, tribal, apocalyptic post-punk. 'Love Like Blood,' 'Eighties,' 'Requiem.' Hugely influential on industrial, metal, and grunge (Nirvana's 'Come As You Are').
