English industrial metal band from Birmingham, formed 1988. Justin Broadrick (guitar/vocals/drum machine), G.C. Green (bass). Streetcleaner (1989), Pure (1992), Selfless (1994), A World Lit Only by Fire (2014). Machine-like heaviness — drum machines and crushing distorted bass. Broadrick also Jesu, Napalm Death (early). Industrial metal's purest form.
