American rock band from El Cerrito, California, formed in 1967. John Fogerty (vocals/guitar), Tom Fogerty (guitar, d. 1990), Stu Cook (bass), Doug Clifford (drums). Swamp-rock sound despite being from California. 'Fortunate Son,' 'Bad Moon Rising,' 'Proud Mary,' 'Have You Ever Seen the Rain.'
