Clan of Xymox

Dutch darkwave band from Nijmegen, formed 1981. Ronny Moorings (vocals/guitar). Clan of Xymox (1985), Medusa (1986). '4AD period' is revered — ethereal, atmospheric post-punk/darkwave. 'A Day,' 'Louise,' 'Obsession.' Went more electronic/EBM later. One of darkwave's essential bands alongside Dead Can Dance.
