Blaze Foley

American singer-songwriter from Marlin, Texas (1949-1989). Murdered at 39. Posthumously recognized as one of Texas's greatest songwriters. 'Clay Pigeons' (covered by John Prine), 'If I Could Only Fly' (covered by Merle Haggard). Lived in a treehouse. Subject of the film Blaze (2018, Ethan Hawke). Outlaw folk legend.
