Indian sarod master from Comilla, Bengal (1922-2009). Son of Allauddin Khan, brother-in-law of Ravi Shankar. Established the Ali Akbar College of Music in San Rafael, California. First Indian musician to perform at an American college (1955). National Living Treasure. One of the greatest sarod players in history.
